- Clothing Assistance
Families are able to receive a voucher for clothing from our Family Thrift Store three times per year with at least 60 days between visits.
- Household Voucher
Families are able to receive a furniture voucher once a year. Vouchers are given when a family has had their home damaged by fire or a natural disaster and has been referred. The Salvation Army may also issue a voucher if the family/individual is transitioning out of homelessness and has been referred by a shelter or partner agency.
- Emergency Shelter Assistance
The Salvation Army of Siouxland is able to help families/individuals with shelter at a motel in an emergency situation. The family must have an action plan to secure housing after leaving the motel. Available based on situational need.
- Emergency Transit Passes
Individuals/Families may receive transit passes from The Salvation Army of Siouxland. Passes are given for job interviews, medical appointments, or work related needs. Passes may also be given if the individual needs to get to our Family Thrift Store or has received emergency food and would otherwise have to carry it home.
- Emergency Utility Assistance
The Salvation Army can help to provide utility assistance in an emergency situation when funds are available.
